Watch out Washington!

I was waiting for McCain's VP pick like everyone else in America wondering who it would be and if it would be the choice that would make me feel like I could vote for someone instead of having to vote against someone. When I heard the name Sarah Palin I thought, who? And then I remembered a brief moment in time where I had heard her mentioned as being Gov. of Alaska. I heard her speech on the radio and I was impressed. Think what you will this woman means business. I think it is important to be well informed about all the candidates and their positions and then to vote for who most closely aligns with your own values and beliefs. I recommend to everyone I know to do their research this year. Every vote counts, it is better if they are informed votes. It is about time that someone stood up for what was right instead of just letting things go because it is the way it has always been. Forget length of experience, focus on accomplishments and what has been done in those periods of time. Merrilee Boyack will be presenting at Time out for Women this year, I took a class from her several years back where she talked about how she went from a soccer mom to a community activist in California and stood up for what is right. We can all do it in our own ways. If you missed the speech I found it on You Tube, but I can't figure out how to upload the actual videos, so here are the links.

I hope this election can bring about change in Washington, but the kind of change that we need.

Well said. It's going to be an interesting election. It's so important that we pay attention to what is going on and really do our research.
