My little dreamer...

This is his "mo-om, 5 more minutes!" reaction to me needing Jonathan to wake up and eat:) Don't you just love how he has already taken over the king size bed as his own? He is king of the house now...at least he thinks so! I am really focusing right now on getting this little one to get his days and nights correct. The hard part is that he is getting so that he gets over-tired and cranky and won't give in to sleep when it is time for it. Overall he is a really easy going baby, his colic is getting better (now that I said that it will probably come back full-force again...) and he is consistently sleeping long stretches at night. A few nights this week he fell asleep for his long stretch before midnight! He did wake up to eat around 5am those nights, but he went right back to sleep until almost 9am. If I can get him to go to bed at least around 10pm that would make me happy. I am a night owl more so than a morning person, but I cannot keep up with the wide awake colicky baby until 2am thing much longer.
This week I have really started to notice that Jonathan hates his car seat, especially when he is alone in the backseat and I am driving. He pretty much just screams either until we get where we are going or until he cries himself out. I always make sure that he has eaten and has a clean diaper on, but it makes no difference. I think he just is mad because he has such a crappy view of nothing and feels abandoned and ignored. I don't know how he is going to do this until he is big enough to turn around... although the little kiddo is getting pretty big. My guess is that he is around 11 lbs. now. He has outgrown a lot of his clothes and is now in transition to the 3-6mo. size. He got so many cute things to wear that it is sad when he outgrows something, but exciting when he can finally wear something new too. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the stylish wardrobe he has to select from!

What a cutie! Ahhh, that newborn stage. Once Porter was out of that everything seemed so easy in comparison and I was a way happy mommy. The thought of someday going through it again is a little overwhelming. Sounds like you are doing awesome.

I had a mirror anchored on the back seat so that way Aphia could see herself. So maybe give a mirror a try and he can comfort himself while you are driving.

So cute! I played the same CD that I kept in the car everytime he fussed...he hated rides too for awhile! But the CD worked like a charm....after a little while, when he started crying, I would just pop it in and he would stop. Babies love the recognition...just my 2 cents! Miss ya!
