Well, the little stinker still hasn't rolled over in front of me yet! I think he is punishing me for going to work:) I have noticed the last couple of days that Jonathan is getting better at sitting up for short periods of time without support. I see some of my friends with their new little babies and I have a hard time remembering that Jonathan was once that small too and it was only 5 months ago! I am so happy that I made a choice to be a mom. This has to be the best job in the whole world:) Last night when I came home from work I walked in the house and Jonathan was in the exersaucer in the living room. As soon as he saw me his whole face lit up and he actually was reaching up for me babbling away like I was getting a run down of his day. It just melted my heart and made me want to snuggle up to him and never let go. I never knew how amazing it could be to be someones whole world like that. I don't mean to sound full of myself, but that little boy is a total mamma's boy! I am afraid to blink because I might miss something and things are changing so fast all the time. If only I could freeze this moment in time and make it last forever... Although, having him potty trained would be wonderful!
Funny story, but if you don't like potty talk then just stop reading now:) Every so often I will give Jonathan prunes to keep things moving because he will be trying so hard sometimes to poo (makes the cutest faces then!) Last night I gave him some prunes and Adrian was asking me why I would give a baby prunes (a while back Adrian had some issues and had to eat some prunes to help him out and since then he associates prunes with that!) I told him it was to help baby poop. Adrian got this look on his face like: seriously?! and he said "Why would you want him to poop more than he does?" Then this morning when he pooped the first time Adrian was watching me clean up Jonathan and he gave me a know-it-all look and said "I told you he doesn't need any help pooping! That's just disgusting."
