Party Time!

With having 4 kids we decided a few years back that it was too hard (not to mention expensive!) to have big birthday parties for every kid every year.  Birthdays are fun and still celebrated, but not so much on the huge event scale.  We did elect a few special birthdays that will be party birthdays: 1st, 8th, 12th, 16th, and 18th. These are some special milestones so they totally warrant a huge celebration;)
This year we decided to surprise Adrian.  He knew he was having a party, but the location was a surprise.  We let him choose 2 friends to come along and left Reagan with her Aunt Taylor.  He was so surprised when we went to the Family Fun Center in Wilsonville!  Last Christmas at Andrew's work party we won a drawing for $100 gift card to the family fun center and we knew just what to do with it.  I thought it was fun for what it is.  The boys had a blast.  However, if we had paid with our own money for the whole thing I do think I would have been a little annoyed at the cost.   Or at least stayed from open to close and made the kids do everything a million times;)

Jonathan got over the outside rides pretty quickly so I took him inside where he found an arcade game where you can grab a toy inside.  I totally grabbed out 2 plastic dinosaurs for him and he was on cloud 9.  Best $1.50 in attempts ever.

Adrian had so much fun!  Luke is excited since he thinks that we will be going back for his 12th birthday...maybe if we win another gift card;)

How fun!! I think it's so cute how excited Jonathan is at the dinosaur. Hooray for the gift card, too. You're right--it's totally different when it's your own money. What a great way to use the card! Happy birthday, Adrian!!
